I once had a car I named “Betsy” that I didn’t like very much. But my parents gave it to me, and I just couldn’t say “No thanks” to a new car, let alone a canary yellow Chevy Chevette , that screamed “Look out! I cannot accelerate to the appropriate speed to merge onto highway traffic!” It was the same color as a Warning Sign come to think of it.
Betsy wasn’t exactly new. My Mother had driven her badly for years. Cars have a way of taking on the personality of their owners, just like dogs. This one had erratic behavior, was prone to mood swings, and had periodic hot flashes. Such a temperament isn’t exactly likable, but Betsy did get me from Point A to Point B well enough, albeit at her own pace.
Zenith Dress
The zenith point is the highest point, relative to a particular observer or place. My high points have been achieved after a whole lot of crap sometimes. And then there's that epiphany out-of-the-blue, or, an odd choice of words via auto-correct, hence this life, humor & internet blog's title. Attribute it to that text I sent Erica.

Truth in Blogging (and creating labels for Searchability)
The truth is I don't really know what I am doing. I thought all I had to do with a blog was to write something interesting, informative or funny, and readers ( like you) would find me. Not true. To gain readership I have to be relate-able - meaning you know just what I mean and can relate to me. You connect. There's nothing more important than that! (Keep reading, we're about to get into bed together.)

I read it on the internet it has to be true
In the article 10 Scientifically Proven Ways to Be Incredibly Happy (Try one. Try them all. They work. Science says so.) Jeff Haden gives us "Proven Way 7.”
7. Plan a Trip: It Helps Even if You Don’t Actually Take One
His Proven Way is based upon a study by Applied Research in Quality of Life in which researchers showed that the highest spike in happiness came during the planning stage of a vacation, or break from work, and not the actual vacation. He writes:
So I plan a vacation, not take it, and reap the benefits of a happiness spike? Really??

HAPPINESS
Unless you have a chemical imbalance, feeling happy is relatively easy. It only takes one thing.
Gratitude
Make a list if you must do more than one thing. Better yet here are
That article written by Jeff Haden appeals to one kind of person, while my favorite blogger, Jenny Lawson writes on the subject as "The Bloggess." She delves into the subject deeper, my heartfelt, more painfully, more aware-fully, and more compassionately for the chemically imbalanced among us. Her January 17th, 2014 post Strange and beautiful is sure to strike a chord. Plus, she comes up with her own non-scientifically proven ways to feel better in no time, and laughing, which you will do reading her post, is one of them.

Your Highest Good (and your lowest crap)
Accepting your lowest crap while striving towards manifesting your highest good, will save you a whole lot of grief and guilt.
This concept I first learned while taking a course in Matrix Energetics . At the time, the closest concept I had embraced was to accept myself as not always being "All Light & Love" and to be OK with me being a real bitch sometimes. Not to dwell in it, but to be comfortable and accepting of it.
It is very likely that by accepting your lowest crap while striving towards manifesting your highest good, you will be a happier and a much more interesting person.

We cannot have the light without the dark.
And look at what beautiful shadows are made from the light.
